My AWSOME E-praty review!!! PICS PICS PICS!!!
Alright girls.. so I woke up yesterday in the morning and saw the weather... it stunk and since i saw that it wasn't getting any better i made the best of it and went around with a smile onmy face!! Honeslty I didnt care, I was still so excited. i got my nails gone that looked amazing and then i had hair and makeup appointments later on in the day.....Anyhoo,the plan was to get my hair blown out... I wanted to keep things simple and sweet.. so even though it was NASTY out my hair dresser assured me that with some stuff that she was going to put in it, it wouldnt frizz.. and she was right.. My hair stayed great until the dancing started and I started sweating...
My makeup was exactly as I wanted it as well. Neutral tones natural looking.. nothing drastic.. i dont like that on me!! I gave 2 thumbs up to Ststion 1 Salon in Bayside for my hair and Total Boday Contol Spa in Bayside for my makeup!!!
When I got to the resturant I was very very impressed.. they had everyting set up great.. the room was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was so happy. the centerpieces looked great and on the couples table we had a floral arrangment that was beautifully done. needless to say that this is going to be the florist doing the work for our wedding. We have been using her for alittle over 3 years now and for every event that we eever needed to send flowers she has been nothing short of great!! A+ for the flowers ( and ofcourse my centerpieces) .. oh people we fighting over the centerpieces at the end of the night.![]()
Everyone LOVED my dress..they said i looked like a little bride. People we also very impressed at the fact that I can actually walk in a 4 1/2' stilleto... not only walk but dance and shake my booty on the dance floor for over 5 hours. For those of you who are wondering.. Im fine today!! i ctualy had to put heels back on so I can go to a birthday party...![]()
My Angelo was amazing from head to toe. He looked grat and was such a hit all ngiht. He danced his a$$ off even though his arms were hurting him.. everyone had the nicest things to say abouthim and that left me VERY happy!
The food at Laterna was AMAZING... i really only got a chance to take 2 bites of my steak but it melted in my mouth. I didnt get to eat anything else all ngiht since i was dancing but peoplehave been calling all day saying how great evrything was and how great the food was.
Im happy people left impressed! The service was great. i literally had a waiter following me all ngiht making sure that I was 100% happy. Getting me and ANgelo drink and food.. u name it he did it. The same service was offered to all the guests as well.
Now as far as pics go....... Yes that is A LOT of money on the floor... It is tradition that when we dance.. especially the couple and the family involved, Money is thown as a sign of spreading and wishing them good luck, happiness and wealth. At the end of the night that money is collected by the band and is kept as a tip. Last ngiht that band made a litle over $4500 in tips from my father and Angelo's father alone.. not including what other people threw while we were dancing.![]()

I dont have any pics of the actual ring ceremony YET but they will come. I had table cameras on each table that still have tobe developed... but i do have a pic of our rings in the tray with the icon.

Overall we had a great time. We were happy and out guest were even happier. They have been calling all day to congradulate us on how great everything was. The BEST part about it is that Angelo and I got to enjoy our night. Yes were busy mingling and making sure everyone was happy but at some point we took a step back and just observed everyone having fun! It was great!!!!
ETA: I just wanted to let you know that all the jewlery around my neck was not by choice... After the ring ceremony, it is tradition for the bride parents to 'dress' the groom in gold, and for the grooms parent to 'dress' the bride in gold. So that's where all the jewlery came from.... I am not completely tasteless and I was testing the Mr. T look.. it was tradition and we are not allowed to take off al the stuff until the end of the night... so please dont think im nuts!!
