My BATTLE WOUND***UPDATE***

Original post by soon2bmrsVPT

Well.... I had a pretty eventful weekend.. Sunday am- 2:34 to be exact- I woke up, went to the bathroom, went to take a tylenol (it had been a long day), and coming back to bed I tripped..

I tripped on my FI's work boot and went face first into the corner of the wall.. I have blood/bronzer on the wall still to prove it.. Any idea how to get that off? Mr Clean magic erasers won't cut it!

16 days till my wedding and I am chock full of stitches.. I have no idea how many- just that I have 3 layers (of course, I don't do anything half a$$ed- the gash in my eyebrow went all the way to the bone) & the plastic surgeon stopped counting.. Yes, plastic surgeon.. I told them I was getting married in 2 weeks and my eyebrow had to look decent, so they sent me home and told me to come back @ 7 to meet the PS.. who BTW didn't roll up till 930... lovely... I spent 5 hours in the hosp ER... plus the 1 hour before they sent me home.. Aren't YOU jealous??

So here I am... battle wound and all.. Can you believe my luck!??!!? No pity party- it's all pretty funny now.. Hell, Melissa thinks it's hilarious!!

Prayers for a speedy recovery please!

ETA: no I wasn't drunk- it was just pitch black in the apartment...

Re: My BATTLE WOUND

ouch... at least you found a plastic surgeon to make a really neat repair... They really are much more talented in minimizing scars than regular physicians....

don't worry, you'll be ok. the stiches will be out probably in several days, and it will be mostly gone by the big day....

My cousin had a horrible incident about 2 weeks before her brother's wedding. She got a large 3rd degree burn on her calf from the exhaust pipe of a motorcycle and of course was in the bridal party, with of course a tea length dress....

burns like that take months to heal, so she had a mammoth gauze pack on her leg while limping down the isle....

omg! thank goodness you're okay! at least you have time to recover and have a make up artist that can work wonders!

i went to a wedding last month where the best man split open his eyebrow the night before the wedding! (drunk bachelor party, need i say more?) his mom spent the entire night icing his eyebrow for it not to swell! it worked til the ceremony was over and then when the reception began he was all puffy again!

thank goodness this isn't you!

how's it looking now. I know it's been a few days - has the swelling gone down?

Hopefully in a few weeks it will look better but really it doesn't look too bad right now.

You should kick FH with that boot.
Make sure he pampers you and you'll be fine by your wedding day.

Re: My BATTLE WOUND **UPDATE**

Hey ladies... I'm doing much better.. The headaches have for the most part stopped. I went to see the plastic surgeon yesterday and literally- the only thing he said was 'you aren't putting enough bacitracin..Stop being a miser with it... Lube it up'... No status mentioned or anything.. I go back on 4-4... We'll see how that goes..

Thanks for all the well wishes. I truly appreciate them all!

OMG heather I am just now seeing this!!

Ok.....yes this stinks...but think of this...its gonna be a great story for the grandkids.... heck..it'll be a great story for the kids

Ok Ok..but in all seriousness..its not that bad love. Just keep it lubed...and I tell ya what...You still have almost two weeks to the wedding right? Thats a lot of time for this to go down and heal. And once the day comes....ahh the beauty of make up. No one will be able to see.

And if you see anything in pics..ahh the beauty of photoshop.

Girl you are soo beautiful anyways...nothing can take away from it..

But I'll still pray for your boo boo

heather used mia from brida l l o u n ge , and she did a great job in covering up the eyebrow. it doesn't look so bad now, but on the day of it looked great!!!
