my best friend in the whole world is getting engaged within the next few days and I want to get her a bunch of cool engagement/bride stuff and fill a basket. When I got engaged I got some fun stuff like a bride book, a countdown clock and a planner....did anyone get anything that they thought was really different, fun, cute, or sentimental???
One of my BMs actually got me a subscription to Modern Bride, which has been so great. If you decide to do this, my suggestion is to actually get her a copy of the magazine as well since it takes a few weeks for the subscription to get going. My MOH gave us a Precious Moments wine stopper,which was really cute since we got engaged at a winery.
One more thing. My MOH isn't engaged but she always complains about how she's been with her boyfriend for 8 years and he hasn't proposed yet, so I got her a huge engagement ring paperweight from marshallfields.com. She loved it and keeps it on her desk at work. It was only about $20.
