to California!! She called me this morning to tell me her boyfriend got unexpectedly transfered to CA for work....and she's going to live with him by the end of the summer.
I'm so sad - we've known each other since 8th grade...went to HS, college, moved to NYC together....and poof she's leaving.

On the bright side, you have a cool place to go visit her.
Oh I am sorry, that is a really long time friendship but I agree, it will be alot of fun to go visit her out there on the West Coast!

I know....but we had all these plans to do the wedding stuff together and now she's obviously not going to be there. Selfish - yes I know but I'm human
I totally sympathise, one of my BMs is moving to California next month, and she'll miss ALL the pre-wedding fun!

I am going through the same thing but my best friend/bridesmaid is moving to Florida. Hopefully the move will make us closer but it is still very sad. Hang in there

i know how you feel my moh moved to cali 7 years ago...we've known each other from kindergarten...my college roommate moved there too...
email and phonecalls make it not too bad...i get to see them whenever they are here. and it is a great excues to get out to california....

awww i am sorry to hear that.. I can totally sympathize... my maid of honor just moved to Boston recently and we were planning on doing everything together... it is not selfish just sad

I feel ya - my 3 best girlfriends & bridesmaids live in Rochester.
Just think - now you have a cool place to visit and I am sure she will still help with the planning anyway she can. Thats what free nights & weekend plans on cell phones are for!
