Well Stef has been hard at work designing my birth annoucements. Since we are having a baby near the Holidays I wanted a Christmas Card/Birth Annoucement combo. She helped me to figure out a way to have the cards printed prior to the baby's arrival so that I could have them all ready to go (practically) and not have to be a new mommy and worry about putting birth annoucements together, plus do Holiday stuff too. She designed 6 or 7 different concepts but here are the 2 that I like best:
Inside the little vellum envelope will be the baby's photo, and on the flip side of the photo will be all of the info (name, b-day, weight, height). So bascially everything can be ready to go, and all we have to do is insert the photo into the little envelope and mail. I just wanted to know if anyone had any different text ideas or suggestions etc and which one everyone likes best. I know Stef feels the second one is a bit too busy. Your thoughts/comments?
I like the first one a little better...while I think the bottom line on the second one is perfect...it seems like a bit much...
but either way...just adorable and perfect...

I agree with Yabbobaby...they are gorgeous, but there is something about the second line that just doesn't seem right.
They do look great!

I LOVE the design of the first one b/c it has the baby's picture as center stage. But, I agree...I am not sure all of the wording is needed. You could just use the 'best things come in small packages...'
I cannot wait to get mine in the mail!

I love them! They are great! My friend's twins were also born around the holidays and on her announcements she had a baby sleeping in a santa hat and red pjs and at the top it said...
' No more Silent Nights.... '

I like the layout of the first one better (reindeer, frame for pic, etc) but love the quote of the second pic 'The best things come in small packages'.
Maybe this can be squeezed in somewhere in the first picture?
Either way, I love them both! Where will you print these cards?

I think both look great, but I like #2 but would leave out the 'small packages' part. I think it's a little too busy with both phrases, but I like the layout of #2.
You really couldn't go wrong with either!
ETS: or maybe the 'small packages' part could be a little smaller just under the picture??

I love #1 exactly the way it is. Great idea with the info on the back of the picture.

I have to say the announcement looks really beautiful. I actually like the saying in #2 (maybe shorten it) but I would like the picture centered in the middle. Either way its really really pretty.

I have never seen anything like these before Marcella. I wonder where your friend found them because Stef and I searched for months before she decided to make these for me. We couldn't even find anything that could be pre-printed. All of the ones I have seen are photo cards, and never have envelopes in the front or plain card stock type birth annoucements.
Kinkos will print the cards, Scott will print the photos on our photo printer after our little one arrives...

They are both lovely!! But I LOVE the layout of #1 with the 'best things come in small packages' line from #2. Have fun deciding!

Re: My birth annoucements- need some input
Michele, my gf got hers from some place where she lives in Jersey.. not sure of the name.. they were soo cute.. I wish I had mine to scan and show you.. they were on red cardstock, 5 x 7, but it was more like a card.. and the photo was an actual magnet, so you could discard the card and keep the pic.. on the bottom it read 'Michael F*****' and under his name was his date of birth.. soooocute!!and what was even cuter was that she put a little santa hat on the baby.. now that was adorable! haha!
