so last night fh says i think the wedding is too much $$ we could get a summer house instead!!!! it is just one day and i have a hard time with the fact that all that money will be gone 'we should of thought more about this'

belive me i am as cheap as they come but I will save money for this. so in the end he said he still wants to think about it
I wanted to elope to Vegas - FH wanted the real wedding. You have no idea how many times in the past two months he has said those magic words to me, 'you were right, we should've done vegas.'
We're at the point of no return now...

YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have panic attacks once a day now about money....i don't sleep much & the stomach problems - let's not even go there!

Yeah it happens. Money is always an issue, FH says instead of spending all this money on a wedding we can buy house and furnish it.
I know after the wedding he will be saying im glad we did this, wouldnt have it any other way...and so I just ignore him for now. I got tired of being upset

I'm sorry he is saying that but I think we all think about what we could do with the money we are putting into our wedding. I always think wow I can seriously put it towards a down payment of a house. I think it is normal. Don't worry.

The money is my only hesitation but that's why I booked the hall already and a photographer and put down deposits so there's no turning back because although the money stresses me now, I absolutely know I will regret not having this type of wedding.

My mom wanted to just give me the money she is spending on the wedding so we could buy a house. I have just been dreaming of this for too long ...
I am trying to save as much $$ as I can ... going with a relatively inexpensive band, a simple photo package from an inexpensive photog (just not sure which one yet), and cutting back on flowers, but it's still going to be a lot -- I'm paying for more than I thought because my parents only have so much to give, and I'm 100% fine with that ...
But every day I keep reminding myself about my tax return ... it will help me to pay for some of this ....

good for you! good attitude and i am going to try to scale back as well. I am jealous of your tax return!! i usually don't get one
