Am I the type of bride who can't wait till this is all over or the bride who is enjoying every moment and cherishing it!
For a little while with all the stress that was going on I was the I can't wait till its over. Now its all going too fast. I love every little detail. My shower is fast approaching and even though I can't wait for it I'm going to be sad when its all said and done with.
What kind of bride are you/were you?

Re: My BM asked me a good question on Sun
i enjoyed all the planning in the beginning, but towards the end, i was looking forward to the end because i was tired of hearing other people's opinions (especially my mom) and just talking about the wedding in general. we were engaged for 1.5 years so it felt like a really long time, but some parts of it went really quickly too.

Re: My BM asked me a good question on Sun
I wasn't the type to cherish every moment of the planning. It was fun while it lasted, but I am glad that the frustration and (sometimes) stress is over. I didn't stress much in the planning.
The wedding itself - I took the often-repeated advice on here to cherish every moment, because it flies by. And I did. It was awesome to see it all come together and see our family and friends all in one room having a great time.
But I'm glad its over and we can move on to planning the next big thing...the honeymoon!

The only thing I'm looking forward to is not having to put so much $$$$ away towards the wedding... other than that I am loving all of the planning and want the day to come but last forever. I think I'll be sad once it's all over.

I'm enjoying it.. for the most part. I think I have one said twice in a 20 month engagement (we should have just eloped)... I really do enjoy it though, even through the stress. I am sad it's all coming to an end soon, and miss my shower, and trying on dresses... etc. It's such an exciting time and it does go by super fast!

Yeah, but then you get the uber-original 'how's married life?' and 'when are you having babies?' Q's.

Re: My BM asked me a good question on Sun
I enjoyed all of the planning & I loved putting my dreams & ideas into real life. However, at the very end (last month) DH & I where disagreeing a lot & that I hated & thats why I wanted it all to just be over.

Re: My BM asked me a good question on Sun
I love planning parties, so this has been a blast for me. School has me really stressed, and I can't wait til it's over so that I can really focus on the wedding and not research/writing papers/etc.
I've thought that I'm going to be sad when it's over; however, I'm thinking about all the fun events that lie ahead, and I'm looking forward to them as well. As soon as the wedding is done, I'm going to start planning on honeymoon and my Dad's 60th surprise birthday party--so there will be lots to do!

honestly, some parts i liked. but i have to say this site - and meeting all you girls - helped me to actually enjoy the 'process' without only focusing on the end result

For the most part I've loved planning. When things start to get a little overwhelming I just tell myself this will be the only time in my life i'm planning this.

i feel the same way. i really enjoyed planning something and i loved all the events that came along with it. we were enagaged for 2 years so near the end i just wanted it to be over but mainly because i just wanted to see it all finally come together and the other reason was that we usually vacation every year but we didnt while we were engaged so i was looking forward to the HM. i do miss planning something because like i said i had so much fun doing it but i do appreciate all the free time i have now
