My BM Cards with Pics!
OK so finally asked my cousins to be my bridesmaids. I got a lot of great ideas for cards from this site so thanks guys. Two of them live in P.R. so I wanted to make it special-they are much younger than I am-two are 7 years younger and one is 12 years younger.
ANyway I went to B&Bworks because they were havign fabulous sales and I purchased a body wash (3 bucks each) and a bath soap (1 buck each) in the scents they liked and wrapped them up in cellophane. Then I made their cards.
We are using gerber daisies and bright colors as a theme so thats what I kept with in their cards. The front of all three carsd was very similar, just their names were obviously diff. The left inside flap had the same poem because our family is weird about 'everyone being the same.' But to individualize them, I created a personal cartoon of each girl standing with me (also as a cartoon) and they got a HUGE kick out of it.
To the far right of each girl cartoon is a daisy-like flower in a coordinating color just to fill in the space. What was sooo funny about this is that I put each girl in a diff colored dress according to skin tone and what I felt looked best on them. But when we went to pick out the bridesmaid dresses, I told them they could pick any of the three colors in our theme. (red, orange and hot pink) They could all wear same color or 3 diff colors. Ironically, they immediately each chose the colors I had picked and I never told them! LOL after they chose I pointed it out and they ran back to look at thier cards and we all had a good laugh. It was a good day-of course actually buying the dersses was a whole other story...not their fault thought. Hint hint, mother of the bride and sister of the bride's mother= DANGER DANGER WILL ROBINSON! But anyway....
Ok here is the front of one card-all basically the same, but just used the papers in different combinations.
Inside left flat where poem was.

Full length view of right hand flap of one girl's card so you can see the flower.
