What horrible timing...I'm 11.5 weeks pregnant, work in a male-dominated office, and was just told I'm getting a huge promotion in January. I am so sad b/c I don't think I can do it with the baby and I don't think they will want to give me the job with me being out on maternity leave etc. I'm not sure whether to tell my boss now about being preggo or wait until January. I am soooo confused about this.
DO NOT TELL them anything! tell them when the promotion comes through! Then they will not be able to do anything and if they do take it away it will be totally illegal and a couse for a major scandal!

Tell them NOTHING.....maternity leave does NOT = a women who cannot do her job when she gets back to work. If the new job is full of travel and late night meetings then you may not want the new job..I can totally understand that then you may want to sit down with your boss and explain what is going on. If you do want this job say NOTHING.
