My Bridal Shower w/ pics!!!!!!!!!!
I had my bridal shower last sunday at a restaurant in brooklyn called Palo Santo. The theme was Asia meets Latin America, because my FH is asian and I am latin, LOL!!!
My bp did a fantastic job!!!! We had 4 games:
1) price is right, where my bp put together to bins with stuff from bbb and ikea and you had to guess the cost and if you were closest w/o going over you won.
2) Door Prize - I had a shower book and all the guests wrote their bday and whoever at the had the closest date to the wedding date, at their respective table, won the centerpiece which was bamboo.
3) Trivia - the game was A thru Z questions on both FH and I as well as general and obscure wedding trivia. It was fun hearing the crazy answers that people came up with
4) Bingo
The prizes were asian themed like asian bags, lipstick holders, etc.
The favor was wine with an asian style wine bottle cover.
I made a big blunder with the cake and I didnt confirm the date with the person who was making it for me so the day before I tried to set the pick up time and she told me she thought it was in July so thank god she made me a cake on short notice, it tasted great but it was supposed to be red fondant and decorated to match the theme. It taught me a valuable lesson to confirm everything with all my vendors well over a week in advance.
The restaurant was awesome!!! We had passed appetizers and then we had the main course which everyone could choose from 4 different options with family style sides and followed by dessert. We also had mimosas, sangria and all types of drinks.
I had a photographer also at the party and I am still waiting on my pics and I will post those later.
All in all I had a great time and FH made an appearance with the cake and then at the end to get the presents.
I loved every minute of it!!!!!!!!
Now its all real and I am so excited to be getting married!!!!
