To help eliminate any conflicts with your bridesmaids, pick a color that you want them to wear (because it is YOUR wedding) and have them choose their own style top. I know there are bridesmaids gowns that have something like this.

Yikes!! Well, sounds like either you are just going to have to pick one out and tell them this is it, something to complement them all or you could go to David's and pick a color and let them each choose a different dress that they will like but same color. Good Luck!!!

I agree, pick the color and let them choose different top there are a ton of Bill Levkoff 2 pieces that are so pretty. unless everyone is the same size(fortunate I am) you cant please everyone but if the girls werent I would def let them get what top they wanted.

OMG! Here we go again today - more senseless people forgetting why they agreed to participate in your wedding.

Here's my thoughts - JMO - First, I'm so sorry your BP is fighting. Clearly, they all want different things, and you want all of them to be comfortable, because you love them, and you want them to stop fighting so that they can focus on supporting you (which is of course why they agreed to be in the BP, right? ).

So, here's what I would do - give up the idea of everyone being in the same dress. Lots of people forgo that, for this very reason. Plus, they have lots of dresses where straps are an option, or shawls, or whatever, so the bigger girls get sleeves, and the smaller can go without. One bride I know offered the option of wide straps, spaghetti straps, or no straps to each girl, and the dresses complimented each other so beautifully. David's Bridal has lots of mixes and matches dresses. I'm doing that too - some want spaghetti, some going strapless, all can wear a shawl. Good luck!!!!

you also want the dresses to compliment your pictures- i think if someone looked out of style/shape that would stand out in the pictures.

my BM got their dresses at David's bridal... I picked the color and skirt style and they picked the top they are most comfortable in... it worked out great, and all the different tops will look awesome in pics...
good luck!

It doesn't have to be David's bridal to do that. You can select any designer - their colors will be consistent. Check out a bunch of designers and see which one has the most dresses you like as well as the color that you like best.

I agree. I only went to the davids bridal in carle place and did not like the selection they had for BM at all. I went to bridal reflections they have a ton on the rack so I can see them and feel them but ordered them from a boutique for much much less.

that really stinks! do they not realize that this day is about you, and no matter what they should suck it up. it's hard b/c you want to please all your friends. go to gown designers on this site, choose alfred angelo, bridesmaids, separates....i think they are very nice, and accomidating to all shapes. if you want them all in the same exact dress, then you choose one and let them know it's final. good luck!!
