my bridesmaids suck

so i sent them all an email like 3 weeks ago asking them to log onto the davids bridal website and pick a few dresses they like (since some live in florida some live in ny) and only 1 out of 7 bridesmaids got back to me. what the hell?? what do i do?

You are giving them the opportunity to help pick it out. If they don't respond, then you should make the decision.

I've found that people respond better to a firm deadline. So maybe send them a friendly reminder, and then put something in there like 'I really need to have the dresses selected by so and so date in order to keep on schedule'.

I haven't had any success with open ended requests and as soon as I started putting dates for responses and things like that it worked out a lot better.

i ran into a similar problem. i offered my moh my sister to pick a dress she wanted and it got out of hand. so now everyone will be in the same dress.....they lose. and its your day!

I ran into a lot of that...you would give them the opportunity to make choices with a firm dead line and if they don't meet it then you pick and you should tell them that is what is going to happen so you don't want to hear any complaining later

it depends what kind of your relationship you have them with them.. I would send them an email saying ' HELLO PEOPLE'. look at dresses NOW!!! or else you may be forced to wear an orange puffy dress with bows all over it1 '

u are nice enough to let them help u pick them out. it was just me mom and sisters who picked...

if they dont want ot pick some out, then take opinions from those who picked some, and then choose which one u like the best.

I think it's better to give them like 2 or 3 choices vs sending them to a website with too many choices.

All of my BM were from OOT, so I had to send them pics online. They took their time. I gave them a firm deadline and threatened if they didn't make the choice, I'd go with my original choice:

Needless to say, they chose quickly after that.

Sorry, but that was your first mistake. I know you were trying to be a good bride and let your BMs have their input, but then these things backfire and you're the one who ends up screwed in the end. It's not your fault, but sometimes you have to be a bit of a bridezilla in order to get anything accomplished.

Seriously, look through the David's website and pick out some dresses that YOU like. Then send them to your MOH (or whichever BM it was that got back to you) and have her pick which one of those she'd like to wear. Give her a week.

Then send the dress to the rest of your BMs and ask them if they like it. Give them a week to respond. If they all like it that's great, if not then point out to them that when you asked for their input they had none.

I think send them another email giving them a deadline as to when you need to know by. And if no one sends anything back. Then you pick. And if they complain later on tell them they had there chance to pick and they didn't!
