I'm having trouble finding something for the two of my brothers to do to make them part of the day. I wanted them in the bridal party but then FH's two sisters would have to be in the bridal party and that just gets messy b/c the shower has been thrown already and dresses ordered etc. etc. I thought of having one bring up the gifts (like the bread and wine at the church) but what can the other brother do? Aside from a reading because they don't want to do that. Love any ideas kelly

Re: My Brothers
Maybe escorting a grandmother or your mother down the aisle? Not sure if you need someone for that or not, but DH had one of his friends who he really wanted to include escort his Grandma down the aisle...

Re: My Brothers
Are you having any readings? They could do that, or say the blessing at the reception. Even if you don't have readings, you could have one read the prayer of the faithful (if you ask, bc otherwise the priest does that).

Re: My Brothers
I have the SAME problem... i have 3 brothers and dont know what to do with them- but really want them to be a part of the wedding- SOOOOOOoooo i'm actually going to have them walk me HALF way down the aisle- them my dad will be at the half way mark and finish walking me down the aisle... it actually works out better for since you only have 2 brothers- it will be one on each arm- with my 3 i still havent figured out how we're ACTUALLY walking down- but i asked them already and they seem really honored to be doing that- so i'm just gonna have to figure it out.

Hmm.. that's a good idea- I'm going to think about that one. Would it be wierd because they're younger than me though?

my brothers are older then me... but i dont think its weird that your brothers are younger- how old are they? i just think its a good idea because walking you down the aisle is such an important job- and they'll feel so special even though they're not in the wedding party,.....
