I was quoted $600 for this cake (5 tiers to feed 120 people). Do you think that is too much money? It will have a very thin layer of fondant and buttercream underneath the fondant. It will have two different fillings.
Please be honest and let me know if I am paying too much!!

i dont think so although i dont have much to go by..my RH included my cake..i just upgraded to fondont and added some things but i know people that have paid upwards of 1000 for a fondont cake....
ps..i love that cake are you getting the jewels around the layers...i that!!!

That is about going rate, $4.50 a slice. Be happy you arent being charged the $10.00 that I see most brides on here being charged.
It is a nice cake, simple and elegant and the price isnt terrible. :)

Whos doing your cake? It looks great and the price to me seems good compared to 1k that one of my friends friend payed for a similar cake.

It sounds like a lot but it's really not. I regreat not getting a cake, we just had the one that was included at the Swan Club. It tasted ok but I didn't like the way it looked at all.

sounds a little pricey to me to be honest. its gorgeous but it def doesnt look like an ornate, complicated cake. is it just the size that is dictating the price?

Actually is the fondant as well as the size that determines the price. Fondant is expensive and it raises the price a lot. You can't get the same clean look with buttercream. Fondant gives you the 'perfect' look. The same cake in buttercream is $450. I was quoted in two other places $650 to $700 dollars for it with fondant.

Re-thnk the fondant part..... sometimes fondant tastes so nasty.... otherwise it is a good price for that cake and it is beautiful!!!

I'm not sure about the price since I've never priced cakes but it is absolutely beautiful! If the cake means a lot to you, than adding it to the wedding for that much money seems reasonable to me!

That is actually a very good price for a 5 tiered cake with Fondant..... I would go for it!

that comes out to be $5/Slice......Usually fondant cakes start around $7/ slice and go up!
