My canteloupe just made me sad :(

I'm sitting here eating some canteloupe for breakfast, and it brought back the very sad memory of me and my friends in ELEMENTARY school sitting in the lunch room and only eating canteloupe because we were all on diets! None of us even needed to be on a diet! And some, won't add which ones, were on diets because our moms made us So, my canteloupe made me sad

That's what I'm saying. Very sad to think that my childhood was tainted with worrying about weight loss. I mean, I'm not scarred or anything, but I totally forgot all about it until now. Go figure.

Well, when I was a kid I was told I needed to gain weight and eat more. Well, by the time I was 13 the Dr. was telling me I was over weight. By the time I was 16 I was 125 and told by the Dr. I was severly over weight! I do not think that is over weight! It really has affected me badly and now I am 225. Along with my parents telling me at 16 that I was a fat whale, and people at school barking at me.

Next time you have a party,make a nice salad platter.Then you will associate canteloupe with happy times.

Mish, I would love to share my story about all of this, only I have a sneaking suspiscion my mother has been reading my posts ( I have no idea why ) and she would DEFINITELY be offended with what I have to say. It figures though.

Well, if you ever want to swap stories we can FM each other. We could aslo meet at a diner for coffee and chat! That is a popular thing with me and my friends.
