My car is in the shop, and there goes MORE OF MY MONEY !!!!

The mechanic said I've run my car to the ground

I need 4 new tires, brakes, oil leak fix, my spark plugs are DEAD, all filters are filthy

It's not my fault I drive 100 miles/day and have no time for regular checkups

THat stinks, I need new tires, and just needed a new tie rod, since I think my car is attracted to pot holes!!!

That ****s! DH drives about that much everyday too. He has a 1997 car and it has over a 100K miles on it and we just spent $1200 on it!

who do you go to? have you ever had any of those things replaced? apart from the brakes that is.. how much is he charging you?

I havent done anything in a bout a year

i replaced my tires maybe 3 years ago
One of them has a big giant bump on it.

I don't even remember the last time I changed teh spark plugs, and I knew about that ooil leak since at least a year ago, and thought I could get away w/it.

He's talking about $570 not incl. the new tires.
He said I need a super tuneup

Good tires are very important. That is one thing that you should keep up with. I know its a lot of money but its worth it.

that's why last year FH finally wore me down and I agreed to get a new car b/c everything was wrong with the old one...every month something had to be fixed...

or go to Costco, the tires there are alot cheaper, and they are good.

I havent done any of that stuff in AGES.

What should I NOT do? BTW, the car was cutting off at red lights, which is when I knew I was in trouble
