My Coworker Rules!!! plus... great tip for addresssing envelopes on your computer!

He just burned me a cd filled with over 1,000 fonts to help me match the pre-printed envelopes I had made!! He said that there are some REALLY nice calligraphy ones in there, too!

And he gave me a GREAT tip for figuring out how to print perfectly on envelopes...

cut pieces of paper to perfectly match the size of your envelopes to practice on those (to get the size, spacing, centering, color, etc. PERFECT) so you don't waste your good envelopes!

Just wanted to pass it on!

(I hate computers, so all of this was a big ol' moment of clarity for me!)

Oh I wish I had a coworker as awesome as yours. I need a cd like that.

That was nice of him!

It's definitely good to practice. I'd also try practicing on something thicker than a normal piece of paper to make sure it will feed into your printer correctly.

you can practice on any paper.

i have finally mastered how to merge print my envelopes after spending a few hours on this. the key is to have 2 documents, one excel, one word. the excel has all the names and addresses on it while the word document will be used to merge in the addresses.

it's so simple after FH showed me how to do it, he's the excel/word genius while my specialty is more photoshop. D

i believe you can merge using two word doc files, one word doc file contains all your names/addresses... it's just a different process and i'm sure totally doable.

You can make a name/address list directly in the mail merge function of word. You have an option to 'create new list' and then you can save it.

Good luck! I hated printing envelopes. I couldn't get them to print out the way that it would have worked the best (bottom of the envelope first so the flap could remain up) so it took awhile. The ones I have finished ended up coming out better than I thought they would so in the end I was happy.
