I am so freakin pleased right now!!!! Christy from The Gartermaker is my absolute favorite vendor, hands down!!!! One of the many products she makes is custom dress tags (dress patches) for the inside of your dress. She does basic monograms, but you can send her your own personal monogram and she'll put it on a dress tag.
I sent her my monogram and mailed her a swatch of my blue paper that I'm using for invites, programs, etc. She matched the embroidery thread perfectly to the paper! And the monogram is an EXACT replica of what I sent her for the dress tag!
She's SOOOO attentive to detail, responds extremely quickly to any email questions, and really will work with you to make sure you're happy. Her work is soooo nice! I also ordered a chocolate brown garter with a blue ribbon from her - can't wait to get it!

I love it!! Can I ask a really dumb question tho, what is the point of a dress tag?? Is it just for sentimental value or ure something blue?? I think they're adorable...I'm just confused!

That's greta, but 2 days late, I took some fabric over to the embroidery place the other day for my dress tag! Oh well, I would have loved to have my monogram, but maybe she can do something with a ring pillow!!!

And as a side note, I actually already had bought an embroidered dress tag, lol. It was just very generic though - didn't have a choice of fonts or anything. It is nice, but once I saw The Gartermaker's site and that she could put my monogram on one, I just had to have it. I figured an extra $20 was worth it I am planning on putting the original dress tag I purchased on my FH's day of undies (well, if I can get my hands on them before the big day).

Not a dumb question at all! It's really just for posterity's sake, but it CAN be your something blue too! It just so happens that my monogram is blue and brown (wedding colors) so it's my something blue too.
You can choose the color of the satin patch too! I *almost* ordered it on blue satin instead of white (I would have changed the border and the 'Q' to white so that it showed on the blue satin) but in the end I decided to just go with the white. But you could do it in ANY color combination. That's what I love about the work she does.

I can't wait to get my dress tag too!! I ordered with Christy last week!! She's great!! Like Yesenia said she is so quick with e-mails, and she pays great attention to detail! I also ordered a custom dress tag with my monogram too -- and Christy asked me to send her a sample of paper, fabric or ribbon to match the thread colors for the monogram. Now I can't wait to see it! I also ordered my garters from her (one to keep and one to toss set)

I have to bump this thread! Christy has been amazing. I must have emailed her 5 times for the morning and she gets back to me in minutes flat! AMAZING!
