'my date' dedicated to dmag
cause dmag requested a review Im doing this especially for him :)..so lets see I had met this guy threw the dating website he was always very cool online and we talked on the phone all the time. to b honest his voice always annoyed me but i figured maybe im being too picky lol..and he had been dying to take me to dinner--i kept turning him down b/c lately i have had way too much going on and to b honest im kinda sick of men but since he was being nice and he kept asking i figured sure y not at least i can eat ya know..lol
so we meet up, he was very sweet, not usually my type but he was goodlooking so i figured it would b ok, he was kinda touchy off the bat but whatever i figured its just his way..so we go to eat, have great convo but i can tell i kinda like him like a good friend, but im stil having fun so its all good..so this is when it falls to pieces lol..
the things that went wrong after dinner...
1. he played with my phone and had the nerve to ask me who jesse was 'my most recent phone call' i was glad it was a male or female name tho cause hahahaah to him, it kept him guessing.. kinda annoyed me tho he scrolled threw my stuff even if it was innocent..
then..
#2,. we went to a bar afterwards and he kept reaching to hold my hand..u would think when i took it back the 2nd timeu would think he would geta clue..
#3, he put me in the most awkward positon when we were sitting, that he went to kiss me, and i was kinda backed into a corner (literally) so i kissed him..and hey hes an awesome kisser but then....
we walk to the train so he can go home and i go to take the bus and this is at 11, and he asks if he can go back to my place!!!! and when i said it wasnt a good idea, he tried to conivnce me y we should go and that 'dontt worry he wont sleep over' LOL can u believe that!!!!
needless to say i was home by midnite and when he called today i didnt pick up the phone..
and there ya have it another single girl story..at this point im going on half these dates for free meals and sh*ts and giggles lol..hope u enjoyed:)

Re: 'my date' dedicated to dmag
Ugh! Did he pay for the food at least? Because I once went on a date with a guy who tried to get me to leave without paying. Needless to say, I paid my portion and left.

Re: 'my date' dedicated to dmag
I once went out with this guy for a few weeks who would try to hold my wrists and not my hands, and when I told him that my girlfriend and I were looking to rent an apartment, he said, 'Well, let's make sure we get the bigger bedroom.' Needless to say, I kissed his arse good bye real quick. I have more stories about losers than one girl ever should! So I'm living proof that in the end, you find a good one!Don't ever settle Mich!

Re: 'my date' dedicated to dmag
Wow...a thread dedicated to me!
Sorry your date didn't go that good. But like the other guys said...at least the food was good. (Isn't that how you judge a date anyway?)

One of the many things you have going good for you is your attitude! You don't let the crappy dates get you down. I'm happy for you...have fun!
Just becase you have not met 'Mr Right' just yet doesn't mean you aren't going to soon. It's good to be a little picky. You know what you are looking for and shouldn't settle for less.

Re: 'my date' dedicated to dmag
Wow Michi --- another great online dating story
I just gotta laugh (I'm laughing WITH you, not at you of course
) What else can you do, right? It doesn't sound like you had a bad time really, and it seems that overall you are meeting some 'nice' people . Not many 'love connections' but some good stories you can share with your grandkids someday
And yep - a single girl's gotta eat, of course

DMAG knows that I went thru more than my share of frogs and toads and rats and everything else in between before I met my prince (yup , that would be him
It is a good thing to be picky and not settle, because you deserve that perfect person for you , and he is definitely out thereAs I've told you before, I think dating and meeting lots of guys is a really good thing for you right now. It gives you exposure to many different people, and helps you to weed thru what it is you 'do' and 'do not' want in a potential boyfriend.
So when you finally meet the the right guy, there won't even be reason to doubt - you'll just know it.
And you know all us old marries and engaged folks just love to live vicariously thru you and the other single girls here

Some
for good measure

That guy sounds really sketchy--no concept of boundaries. I would definitely stay far away from him!
