My DH was in a car accident at work!! UPDATEANOTHER UPDATE ON PAGE 2

He was in the passenger side of his police car and his partner was driving, and some freaking guy in a Lexus truck ignored a stop sign and just came flying and t-boned the driver's side!!! The patrol car spun around and everything!

DH is okay, he's very very sore and spent the day doing paperwork and being observed in the hospital. He's heading home right now and will be out of work for a few days. Poor thing!

Stupid ppl who ignore stop signs should be beaten senseless!!!

UPDATE:
the truck that hit my poor baby's car was speeding (they left at least 10 ft of skid marks at the accident!) his partner was more banged up, as he was on the side the car hit, but nonetheless DH is starting to really feel the effects of the accident. i can only imagine how he'll feel tomorrow!

my hubby is home and laid up on the couch. i made him some dinner and he's chilling with our kitty on the sofa. he's sore, but convinced he should try and go to work tomorrow! i think he should stay home cause he's gonna be SORE tomorrow. my brother who is also a cop, is on the phone with him now telling him to take a day or two, since his partner will definitely be doing the same!

convince him ladies!!!!!!

I agree, he needs to stay home. And he needs to be monitored carefully. Any sort of internal injury could end up manifesting itself later, i.e. if he gets headaches, etc, he needs to go the dr. asap!

thats horrible... what assh0le completely blows a stop sign.. ugh they are there for a reasaon!!!
How is Pete feeling?? i hopebetter. Im sure that he will be sore for a few days and that he will 2nd guess going into work

I am so glad he's okay. But honestly tell him he should stay home for a few days. He's no help to anybody if he's working injured or sore. Tell him to get better soon and I am sure you'll help him do that this weekend!

When my FH was in an accident @ work (nypd also) he took the days off.... why is he in a rush to go back! tell him to stay home ane relax and enjoy the days off @ home!

He's HOME! He took the advice of everyone and is resting at home, probably hanging with our cat on the couch.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! He is feeling rather sore and is glad he didn't go to work.....I'm just happy he's okay!!!

I'm glad it wasn't more serious than that. He's a lucky man. I betcha the jerk was on the damn phone too!!!! He should defintely take some time off, he might feel fine now, but tomorrow could be different. I wish him well.

I work for Attorneys and from my POV he should rest at home and maybe get Physical Therapy if he hurt his neck or back, b/c he could develop something if he pushes his body too hard
