My DH was in a car accident at work!! **UPDATE**ANOTHER UPDATE ON PAGE 2

He was in the passenger side of his police car and his partner was driving, and some freaking guy in a Lexus truck ignored a stop sign and just came flying and t-boned the driver's side!!! The patrol car spun around and everything!

DH is okay, he's very very sore and spent the day doing paperwork and being observed in the hospital. He's heading home right now and will be out of work for a few days. Poor thing!

Stupid ppl who ignore stop signs should be beaten senseless!!!


UPDATE:
the truck that hit my poor baby's car was speeding (they left at least 10 ft of skid marks at the accident!) his partner was more banged up, as he was on the side the car hit, but nonetheless DH is starting to really feel the effects of the accident. i can only imagine how he'll feel tomorrow!

my hubby is home and laid up on the couch. i made him some dinner and he's chilling with our kitty on the sofa. he's sore, but convinced he should try and go to work tomorrow! i think he should stay home cause he's gonna be SORE tomorrow. my brother who is also a cop, is on the phone with him now telling him to take a day or two, since his partner will definitely be doing the same!

convince him ladies!!!!!!

that is so crappy!! but i'm very glad he's okay and just sore!!!! you'll just have to keep him company on the couch all weekend!! that could be tons of fun

I really do hope he stays home...if hes feeling it now..wait till the morning. I remember I was in a really bad car accident about 7yrs ago...our car spun!! I got out of the car and I was bleeding from my head..even part of my eye brow was gone because I hit the dash board...to make a long story short I thought I would be able to go to school the next day..boy was I wrong. I got up and couldnt even move my legs...my brain was telling my legs to move but they just didnt want to..I was sore for weeks! bruised and everything....

OMG... I am glad that both of them are okay..some ppl just crazy , speeding, changing iines without signals...

Is he CERTAIN he doesn't have whiplash or some other spinal injury?

I got into an accident like that and my spine was all messed up for a while!

he DEFINITELY should spend the day tomorrow going to Dr's and getting examined... NOT WORKING!!!

Especially not driving around all day....

I was cautious (didn't lift anything or exert myself for weeks), and have no long term effects... these days are CRITICAL to recouperation....

try to keep him at home....

He should definitely stay home! If he's hurting now, tomorrow will be worse! He needs to give his body time to heal else he could exacerbate any injuries he has.

The exact same thing happened to me this past Saturday night! Some woman totally blew her stop sign and smashed right into my drivers side, and spun me around. I banged my knee pretty bad,and got a nasty cut. I actually feel worse these last couple of days than I did the night it happened. I was told by my chiropractor and Md to take the week off from work. I hope your Dh does the same!

I am glad they are ok, but do agree that he should stay home tomorrow. He might stay home if he wakes up feel horribly.

How long did the surgeon tell him tostay home for. He should def stay home a day or two. Tell him my FH agrees take at least a day or two. Ya know those car injuries always sneak up on ya!
