My DIY Card Box!

I'm quite pleased with myself. What do you think?

I LOVE it!! Where did u get the cushion part? and how did u put it together?

Thanks!! The cushion is a piece of foam board with batting (I think that's what it's called) and satin glued on top, and a hole cut in the middle. Here's how I put it together:

1) Staple-guned the four frames at the corners of the top and bottom.

2) Measured two pieces of foam board and hot-glued one to the bottom for the base.

3) Cut rectangle hole in the other piece of foam board for the card slit.

4) Hot-glued batting to the board, putting a hole in this as well.

5) Hot-glued satin over batting.

6) Hot-glued top piece to the frames!

And I only burnt my fingers on the glue once! I got the frames and foam board at Michaels and the fabric and batting at JoAnn's.

You should be more than pleased..it came out great!

I bought them...I found them in a sale bin at Michael's for $5 each!

Thanks everyone for your posts! I'm so glad this came out well.

Kristy, I was also debating buying/renting a box or making my own. This whole project cost around $35 and I can use the frames again!
