Thanks!! The cushion is a piece of foam board with batting (I think that's what it's called) and satin glued on top, and a hole cut in the middle. Here's how I put it together:

1) Staple-guned the four frames at the corners of the top and bottom.

2) Measured two pieces of foam board and hot-glued one to the bottom for the base.

3) Cut rectangle hole in the other piece of foam board for the card slit.

4) Hot-glued batting to the board, putting a hole in this as well.

5) Hot-glued satin over batting.

6) Hot-glued top piece to the frames!

And I only burnt my fingers on the glue once! I got the frames and foam board at Michaels and the fabric and batting at JoAnn's.

yay! thx so much for sharing. Im not the best at DIY and wasn't sure if I was going to make a card box, but I think I'll try now that I have a better idea. i think it came out great!!

Wow I love it! What a great idea!
What size frames did you use? How deep is the box?
I really like it and would love to do I'm just wondering if there will be enough room (wishful thinking! lol) for all the cards to fit.
