My DIY placecard instructions
I received lots of FM regarding my place cards. I can't take credit for this because another bride showed me how to make this. She is not on LIW.Here are the instructions. It's very easy!
Step 1.
Cut paper to 2.5x4 (use cardstock) use corner puncher on upper corners.
Step 2.
Fold the bottom half back to creat support for frame.
Step 3.
Insert 2x3.5 printed cardstock, secure with double sided tape
Step 4.
Insert 1.25x1.25 legs, secure with double sided tape
Completed placecard.
Side View.
Back View.

Re: My DIY placecard instructions
This is another design I made.
All mock ups are made with light weight paper and not glued together that's why they look flimsy. If you used all cardstock you will have much cleaner lines.

Did you print them yourself?
If yes, how did you get the background number effect? And did you print a few on regular size paper and then cut the into individual cards??
Thanks! They are beautiful!

Yes, I printed them on letter sized paper and cut them with a paper cutter.
I used photoshop.

Re: My DIY placecard instructions
Lucamon was so patient with my 101 questions. Now I understand!!!! I was clueless and bought the corner punch and did it a little differently. You are the best Sam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cut a regular placecard in half at the fold.
Cut the corner punches in precut cardstock
Cut an upside-down V in the middle
Put the corner of the placecards in the punch holes
Bent the back flap down for a stand

Collette, you did a great job. Very creative with the 'V'

Thanks but I don't think it's as sturdy as yours...I think I may go your route.

Does it tip over? Try cutting 2 slots at the bottom and folding the flap back to form a square shaped support. That will also give you the look of it sitting on 2 legs.

No it doesn't tip over but when people are reaching for their cards they will....YOU ARE SO SMART!
cut a square instead of a 'V'!So simple!
