My DIY- Please be honest..does this look bad?

HI Gals,

Well I attempted a DIY project. I made these candle pieces for my tables at the reception. All items were purchase at the dollar store. Not sure if I like them or if they look really cheesy.
Can I get some honest opinions? And if you think they are cheesy can you offer a suggestion to make them better. Thanks so much.

I think they're ok? I mean you asked honestly, so I don't love them, I don't HATE them and I dunno what I'd change?

I prob wouldn't use them for my tables...maybe where you're having the table numbers?

from the picture it's a little hard to tell but IMO it seems like there is a lot going on - (but that may just be my taste) I might eliminate the silver ribbon/beads??? and leave the candles with the beads in it. . if you wanted to add the silver color, maybe you could add silver and blue beads??

Are these going to be your CPs, or just votives? It's hard to gauge the size from the pics....

I think less is more honestly and you have a lot going on there.

I think the jars with the candles by themselves would look good and then if you wanted to add the blue. wrap a nice blue ribbon around the narrow part, where the silver is now. If you wanted the silver and the blue, you could alternate or something.

Ahh...in that case I agree with the other girls, I would lose the ribbon and just leave the marbles and the candles...with that color blue, I think less it more.

I agree with a lot of the above posters. I would remove the ribbon and beads. If you want to rety another option, you can also get tall wide candles, place then on a candle holder and throw some petals at the base in teh colors you want to incorporate. That would also look nice.

i probably would remove the ribbon and get a candle that is a little bigger. the proportion just doesnt look right. i might also add some clear or white crystal beads to the bottom to add some dimension

Here is what i would do...take the ribbon on top off and add blue sand (your color scheme) instead of the crystal rocks. I think it will give it a much softer, more romantic look.

I agree with dedecakes.

Take the ribbon on top off and change the candle to a bigger size and give it a more softer look

i would take away some of the glass beads and the ribbon with the beads...
if your looking to add a little more color i would put a thin ribbon around the top but def not with the hanging beads.

Is there a way you can put them on a cleared table so I can get a better view of how it would look?

I would leave the ribbon and get rid of the blue beads.
