Well I attempted a DIY project. I made these candle pieces for my tables at the reception. All items were purchase at the dollar store. Not sure if I like them or if they look really cheesy. Can I get some honest opinions? And if you think they are cheesy can you offer a suggestion to make them better. Thanks so much.

the ribbon is ok..it's just the pearls hanging from the ribbon that make it look a bit 'home made'

I am a big fan of the candles with the stones! Many people have suggested taking of the ribbon, and I am going to have to be in agreement. Also, I think it would look great if you added blue sand, or even white, to give it a little something.
