My DIY project I attempted....its not totally complete but what do you think so far??
Original post by Mdolph6
These are our invitations, we are doing them ourselves because we do not wanna spend $1300 on ivitations...They are $9 each!!
So what do you think of these...sorry if the pic comes out real big.

they look nice, but i would take out the 'Ms' and 'Mr' in front of your names. you never see that on invitations. if you purposely want them like that, then go for it!
you may also want to take a sample to the post office to see how much it will be to mail---that could be a lot of $$$ if your cardstock is heavy. just a thought

Great job! I like it a lot, I think it will come out beautiful!
Carol at Express Press Printing helped us with the wording of the invite, we wanted it to be fairly formal, so we chose this:
Mr. and Mrs. Francis A. ***** request the honour of your presence (note honour instead of honor) at the marriage of their daughter
Patricia Ann (name in a larger, more elaborate font)
to
Rusty Kaplan **** (again, name larger and more elaborate)
on Sunday, the eleventh of June (she said always spell out dates instead of putting numbers) Two thousand and six at ten-thirty in the morning
Coe Hall Mansion at Planting Fields Arboretum 1395 Planting Fields Road Oyster Bay, New York (she said to spell out New York also; we spelled out all the states on the envelopes too)

Hmmmmm...... very cool borders.... and the snowflakes. I agree with what others have said..... make your names bigger and the only ones with the curlier font. Everything else should be in a plainer font. There is no period after 16th. and it should be Two Thousand AND Seven. I also believe that it should be O'Clock, not O'clock.

Very pretty!! You did a great job!!
And just because you posted, and I'm sure this one is the prototype, the snowflake in the lower left corner is off just a teeny tiny bit. Something only a fellow bride would notice!

Ummm, actually, it is O'clock. As for the Two-thousand seven vs. Two-thousand AND seven . . . everyone has a different opinion on this, but, in strict mathematical terms two-thousand AND seven in numbers is 2000.7 not 2007.
