my dog died today :(

well my parents had to put her to sleep actually. she was having all sorts of old age related problems. she was twelve. i'm really upset b/c i live in dc so i didn't get to say goodbye. anyway, it makes me feel better to write about it so i thought i'd share. thanks for listening.

It's hard for me to talk about this type of stuff as I'm a complete animal lover but...
I wanted to tell you how deeply and truly sorry I am. A lot of people don't understand the connection some people have with their pets...but for a lot of people it's harder than anything.

OMg, *hugs* I am so sorry...I can totally empathize with how ou must be feeling.

Right now my cat Lucy is going through some health problems...she's been at the vet for almost a week now - unable to eat or defecate (she has a chronic constipation problem that was apparently exascerbated(sp?) by this ball of fur in her belly!) Anyway...I'm so sad - all I can think about it how uncomfortable she must be and all the 'what ifs'.

Sorry for rambling - this post isn't about me. I'm just so sorry about you & your doggy...

i can totally empathize with what you are going thru.... a few years back, we had to put our rottie Hunter down due to a cancer that literally POPPED up on him.... anyway, I still look at pictures and get sad, but then I just think that he is happier now, and not in pain, and it makes me feel better to know that he is in puppy heaven!!!
