my dog died today :(

well my parents had to put her to sleep actually. she was having all sorts of old age related problems. she was twelve. i'm really upset b/c i live in dc so i didn't get to say goodbye. anyway, it makes me feel better to write about it so i thought i'd share. thanks for listening.

awwww I am so sorry for your loss. I know how horrible it is to lose a pet. He has been in Doggie Heaven for over 3 years now and we still remember him.
I am sure she is in a better place watching over you.

So sorry to hear that!!

I had to put my dog down after 15 years..it was TERRIBLE!!

It's like losing a child, but just remember she wasn't feeling to well so you helped her out...that's what helped me deal.

We put my dog down at 12 yrs old too - that was 11 yrs ago and I still miss her - she, like all dogs, was apart of our family. But what comforted me was knowing she was no longer suffering. Any dog in old age is sad to see - especially when they can't do the things that they love - their quality of life is so drastically cut.

I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to say goodbye though

we put ours to sleep a few months ago - it is very hard - to you!

to you!!!! I am so sorry for your loss! It's never easy to lose a pet, but you can find comfort that he is at peace and in a better place now.....(Probably with the biggest bone EVER)
