My dog is amazing

My dog is amazing

Jeter learned how to turn the knob and open the baby gate so we took the knob off on his side of the gate.

Jeter learned how to turn the knob of our bedroom door so we put a latch waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay on the tippy top of the door.

Jeter learned how to unlatch the lock He broke in and ripped open multiple bags of jelly beans I bought on sale for our candy buffet.

What do we do now? This dog is the spawn of *****.

Awww - But he's your BABY and you LOVE him!

What about keeping him in a crate when he's not supervised and then locking him in the kitchen when you're gone during the day?

Oh we tried the kitchen... he ate the moldings on the windows! FH says it's my fault because I baby him and he has separation anxiety. I know it's true.

He is all boxer and he is crazy!

It's crazy...he's so observant. I would believe he watched us open it to learn how he could figure it out too.

Re: My dog is amazing

OMG! This sounds all too familiar! I hate the crate and I tried to un-crate train my boxer. We started off small, like locking her in the room that the crate was in... she destryoed the room! And I mean destroyed! She pulled up the carpet, shredded the padding underneath and pulled up the carpet tacking!!!! Not to mention the rest of the stuff in the room that was shredded. Then I tried something bigger like baby gating her in the kitchen. She got over them easily and ate all my chachkies in the living room, as well as my shoes. So I got another gate and put it on top of the first one... she stayed in the kitchen, but must have been on top of the counters because everything that was out of reach was eaten! Oh, and the floor molding too. Biggest mistake was the last try... we tried an even bigger area... we colsed all of the doors to the bedrooms, bathroom, and office and just gave her the living room/dining room and kitchen. When I pulled up my driveway I noticed the vertical blinds were open to the picture window in the livingroom.... they weren't open. She pulled them down and shred them!!!!!!!!!! All of them!!!!!!!! Needless to say, she is back in her crate and we are all very happy!

I totally feel your pain. Its got to be a boxer thing!
