Im not happy with the progress! My dog has a huge scrape on his nose (all the 'black' is scaped off and its red and bloody) and his neck has huge red lines around it from all the 'correcting' that they did!
They told me he hurt his nose eating a bone! Yeah right! If they were honest and said that he played to rough with another dog or something id understand - but to tell me that he did it himself eating a bone - cmon! He seems very nervous in general and does not seem to have learned anything...
The people are friends with FH's parents so he wouldnt let me say anyhing to them! And we paid them.
Im happy that he is home but not happt with their training.
I Would say something anyway - thats not right - I would definitely look into it further...

Oh goodess, that doesn't sound right to me. Poor doggie - always had dogs my whole life and never heard of them scraping their nose on a bone to the point of bleeding ajd scabbing. I would DEFINITELY say something. Good thing your doggie is back home.

def look into it more.!!! huggy: when you were there dropping your dog off-did they take you around and show you what she would be doing? i prob would have sneaked back to check on her. Hope your babies ok : eta-the black comes off my dogs nose when she decides to bury her bones. it will grow back soon. Take her to your vet and see what they say-they should know the correct procedure to moving foward with the investigation.

OMG I hope what they are saying is true but I agree...it does sound a little suspicious! I know it may be awkward to say something, but this is your dog and you paid for the training and a) it didnt seem to work and b) he has all these scrapes and what not. Thats so not right! Did they tell you what kind of techniques they would be using??

I would say something and ask for my money back...my dog has gone through training and has never had a scratch on him.

That's messed up. I'd DEF say something if my dog came back with a scratch on his nose. That's like having a kid come back from camp and the camp not saying what really happened.

wow! that isn't right at all... i would def say something.
if he has red lines around his line, that's most likely from something being around his neck too tightly- which isn't right

I would be beyond furious! Who cares if they are friends of the family, your dog is your family! You deserve a better explanation. I'm so sorry that you and your dog had to go through this!
It sounds like they did the wrong kind of training for your dog as now he/she is nervous. Does he/she walk around with head bowed and tail between legs? Act skittish around company? Would you describe your dog as fearful agressive? It sounds like your dog needs to have some positive reinforcement and used food and praise as a motivator. There are quite a few dog trainers that will use this method as opposed to shock collar and negative discipline. I would check with your local vet and/or pet store if they know of other trainers. Also, check out reviews of those trainers. Good luck!
