My dog isn't feeling good ~ please give advice

Original post by JennRenee

Arnold is acting so out of it all of a sudden. He's trembling, cries out sometimes when we pet his back right leg (although he's walking fine), and looks dazed.

I am crying and crying, but Patrick says we should wait till morning to see how he feels.

Any advice? Please??

So glad he seems better today. Like you said, the best place is to your regular vet today. Let me know how you make out.
Believe me, I totally understand!

We just got back, and THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM!

The vet said it could be a soft tissue strain, but she didn't see any sign of pain in him (she said that sometimes happens when animals come into the office and get nervous... their adrenaline keeps them from feeling minor pain).

So, I have to watch him for the rest of the week, and if he continues to appear to be in pain, they'll do X-rays. Of course the little bugger is acting fine now...

Thanks so much for your kind words and support!!

Jenn- glad arnie is okay! maybe he jumped off the couch?

That's what we're thinking... he's always jumping, so he probably landed wrong.

That doesn't explain the mysterious ear pain though, but the vet said his ears look terrific. Weird, right??

What a relief! I have a puppy and he was acting weird, when I brought him to the vet he had a fever so they gave him meds but it was so scary! Hes better now and I am happy to hear your little guy is better too!

I am the same, one little thing out of the ordinary with Frosti and I lose it. Gee imagine what overprotective mommies we will be in the future!!
Glad your pup is OK!

Now that you took him, at least you have peace of mind. I'm glad that they said he is ok.
Maybe he twisted something when he jumped down.
