My dress

My dress

I ordered my dress 8 months ago and I haven't heard anything. Today I decided to call and see what's going on with it. The saleslady told me they schedule delivery 6-8 weeks before the wedding. WHAT???????????? I haven't seen the dress since I purchased it in December!!!! They wouldn't tell me a style number and I had to practically beg to get the designer from them (after I purchased it...). What if I hate it??? That leaves me with NO time to find something else. I'm already cutting it close with 5 months to the wedding. Plus, I want to try it on and see how it fits. What if there was a size problem? What if I gained 3 million pounds??? Should I be freaking out or am I just crazy?????????????????

i think you're just nervous / excited to see it again .... 6-8 weeks should be plenty for alterations and whatnot (that's about what i will have had)

i'm sure it'll be great, don't stress

I was just going to say that too. I'm going for my first fitting about 5 weeks before the wedding. I know what you mean though. It's exciting and I miss my dress so that's probably what you are going through.

I feel really behind the 8 ball. I'm only a month after you and I haven't even bought my dress yet. You will be fine. Everything will work out.

Re: My dress

I'm just worried that I'm going to try it on and hate the way I look in it. If I go try it on now and hate it, I have a few months to find something else or alter my appearance (ie: workout) to fix it.

I think it'll be fine. you'll have enough time to change your mind if you aren't happy with it.

but if you're really that concerned call your dress store and tell them that you're upset with them, that you ordered your dress forever ago and that you were told it would be in soon..

Re: My dress

or maybe you could just go try on the sample again ....?

and have yourself re-measured to see if you've gained any weight from the size you ordered ....

it's not ideal, but it's better than nothing
