Here are the pics for the second pattern fitting. this is done with muslin. after this she will use this pattern to start cutting the silk taffeta and constructing my dress.
in these pics you will notice some lace on the bodice...she is already figuring out where she wants to apply the lace and pearls.
I am throwing my vanity to the wayside in the fourth pic and showing you all my greasy mug to also show you one of the greatest joys in my life...my lovely niece Victoria. she is also trying on her 'dress' (a tank top was sewn into her petticoat so it won't fall down the day of)
I plan on updating this post at every fitting so those interested can see what it's like to go the custom route.

sure. this was my original inspiration, but it has since been modified....
thanks ladies! your support is very helpful. this was not exactly the most 'stress free' way to go, but it is so satisfying to watch it unfold!
Oh Jess! It is beautiful!!! And not even done yet! I can't imagine how stunning it will be when done!!!!!

How exciting!! Look on the bright side - You can never get 'sick' of your dress! I feel like I commited to mine so long ago, and I'm already bored of staring at myself in the pics we took of the sample.
I know some fellow 06ers can relate.
