Re: My dress a surprise?

Only my MH saw my dress. I didn't want anyone else to see. I wanted to avoid all the opinions, thoughts and gossip.
I wanted everyone to be surprised when they saw me. I'm glad i did it that way.

I was with my mom when I found it, bought it with my FMIL and showed pictures to my SIL who showed it to her mom and my brother.

Everyone at work has seen it since it's my wallpaper!!

The only person in the dark is FH.

everyone has seen it except FH. i hate surprises and don't see the point of keeping my dress a surprise. people want to see you, not your dress. they know it'll be white and long!

wow i must be the only person that showed it to FH. i didnt show a pic of me wearing it, but the pic from the website, which IMO isnt a true representation of it compared to it in person. he is a man, i asked him the other day if he remembered what it looks like and he said not really.

more of a surprise for him will be seeing me in the actual dress. i rarely wear dresses and skirts.

i guess we are just a non traditional couple.

in addition, my mom knows what it looks like and my best friend.

You only showed him a picture. I took my FH dress shopping and he was with me when I bought my dress. We're going to see each other before the ceremony, so it wouldn't be a surprise then, anyway, plus I'll look much nicer with my hair and makeup done. The way I see it, we make all of our important decisions together anyway, why not this one? I helped him pick out his tux and he helped me pick out my dress. And veil. And shoes.

i would have liked to take him with me when i was trying it on, but i know that he would have been sort of bored. whenever i take him shopping for anything, the first thing he finds is the couch in the store, if there is one. when we left a store with a great couch he said, 'i like that store...'

i do agree with you though, it is a big decision, why not have him there.

Pictures NEVER do a dress justice until it's on anyway. And besides even if you do show your BM's or whom ever, not many people remember exactley how the dress looked anyway. It'll still be a surprise, when it's on you!!!!!!

I honestly don't remember exactly who has seen it besides my mom, and my sister/MOH (and they both saw me in it). I know I showed the picture from the designer's website to a few people at work, but only two of those people that saw it are invited.

Re: My dress a surprise?

i saw a picture of mine in a magazine and i couldn't help but show my friends. i hope i look half as good as the mdel looks in it. I thnk wether you showed them the dress or not once you put it on that day in the complete package it will be like they are loking at it for the first time.
