My Dress Drama Continued-Great News!
Well most of you know the horror I am going through/went through with my wedding dress...If not here is the linkt o it.
Well I just had to share my update....So on Friday I was feeling kindof down about the dress and the prospect of covering the back of the dress with lace. I was considering not even putting the lace on it and leaving it alone until I saw some gorgeous pictures of a brides wedding and the back of her dress showed in all the picks. (Mine has some slight pulls in the silk from try-ons). SO I decided, 'what do I have to loose'. So I actually contacted the designer and told him exactly what was going on and asked him if I could get silk from him to replace the back of the dress.....HE WAS SO ACCOMIDATING! I mean here I am a nobody speaking to this huge designer and he is just amazing...He spent 30 min on the phone with me just talking about how he remembered me and how he thought I looked great in his dress, etc! I couldn't believe it (I went to his trunk show). There was no trying to convince him or anything...as soon as I explained how the back of the dress wouldn't be salvagable and my plan to replace the panel he just said hold on.....grabbed a swatch of the silk and put it in the mail. If it matches the dress than he has 2 yards more there that he will give me!
SO now I can replace the whole back and not mess with his gorgeous design! I am just so happy!
I just had to share with you...you were all so supportive 2 weeks ago when I was really distraught. I mean I am not out of the woods yet...we still have to make sure the swatch matches...There is a chance the color may be a tinge off due to the fact that the dress has been lying around for a few months (apparently silk can slightly change color with time) but just to know that I have him on my side makes me feel great! ![]()
