My DRESS DRAMA - Updated AGAIN!!!
Just to let ya all know - we're going to drop off my dress at the shop! I will update you all to what happens when we get back.
FYI for those that don't remember. The casing the rhinestones are in on my dress - they have oxidized and turned black. I called the shop & they asked me to bring it there & they'll 'see what they can do'.
Will update when we get back. It's in PA and we're in Jersey though - so it won't be for several hours.
It's been a really rough morning so far though - so hopefully this can go well and we can get past the FMIL drama...(will share later)!
---------------------------------------
Naturally - we get there and today is the manager's day off. The girls in the sales dept asked me to take the dress up to the seamstresses! They looked at it and said it's totally normal(which I knew) - but to replace all 80 rhinestone holders would be more work than really worth it. Also - it could happen again before the wedding! So - the one lady said that she'd talk to the owner/manager dude & they'd likely let me pick out another dress. She said he's really nice with this. They did try and tell me that a lot of dresses look like that - with the black, oxidized metal....but I told her when I bought it, they were silver and that's what made me love it - that they were soooo shiny & sparkley! So - end of story - he'll me over the next day or so and he'll let me know what to do.
I am FINE with picking out a different dress - so we'll see..
