So, I called to get an update and they told me it came in today (I think I am psychic)!
Now, my instinct is to run over there (one town over) and look at it!!
But, the lady said I have to wait for a letter in the mail and then I have to call to make an appointment. Is this normal? Or should I just go there tomorrow anyway and demand to see my dress ?
I also wanted to wait for my dress to buy shoes b/c I got a petite and I might not need to alter it depending on the height of the shoe. Do I NEED to get the shoes before I try it on for the first time?
****UPDATE**** I 'just popped in' and they were soooo busy but a young girl said 'sure!' went right downstairs and brought it up! She also brought up my MOH dress and I didn't even know that had come in! Then she cut me a swatch too w/o me even asking! I was so happy!!

Wait for a letter?? That is silly.. Go see it. But yes you need shoes and bras for the first fitting. Not the first time you try it on though. Unless they are going to measure for alterations that day.

Thanks! I think I will just 'pop in' today to check it out. Plus - I have no idea what the color looks like b/c the sample is in diamond white and silver and I ordered it all in white...
Hopefully I like it!

IMO you paid for the dress, you should be able to see it whenever you want - Its yours! They are so eager to let you see it when they want your money, but once they have it it's another story.
My place told me well you cant see it today its a Saturday and they get busy. ( I wanted to pick out a BM dress and make sure they go together) I said, well if I cant see it when I want I will just take it home and get my alterations done elsewhere. Needless to say I got to see my dress, oh and we were the ONLY ones there the WHOLE time :)
You only need your shoes and undergarments for your fitting.
Have fun!

My place told me to bring shoes and undergarments for the first fitting (or at least shoes similar in height to the ones I plan to wear. You should ask if they will measure the length that day.
My dress is not in yet, but I made my fitting appts. a couple weeks ago. Apparently the place gets booked up, so they encouraged me to make the appts. early.
I think you should be able to see it!

Thats Bologna (balony)!!! YOU are the customer and you can go see your dress whenever you want. They cant keep your dress HOSTAGE!!! GO SEE IT!!! You will need the shoes and undergarments for the first fitting, but you can go try it on just to see yourself in it again if you arent getting measured.

Just go in and see it, they cant send you home. That would be a big mistake. It's yours. I never heard of such a thing.
