My dress is IN now what

im going to see it Friday at Burtons Bridal can i try it on? or do i have to wait for fittings ? also when should i sched the first fitting ? im so confused i dont want to do the fittings too early cause im still getting in shape and could lose 15lb by the wedding date

I went to see mine Saturday. I didn't try it on. I wasn't ready too. I scheduled my first fitting for the end of March, because I still want to lose some weight. They don't want me to lose weight after a certin time, either the first or second fitting.

my dress just came in over the weekend ..i wouldn't worry every designer takes their own length of time.. call the salon where you bought it , it may have come in already

I guess it depends on the location mine came in and they said I can try it on as many times as I like but I am not doing any alterations until 1 month before the wedding I have 10-15 pounds to lose

I am in the exact same situation as you are. I am going in to look at it next week but I want to avoid trying it on if possible. I would like to wait until the last minute possible to start alterations because I am still in the process of losing some weight . My dress has a lot of beading/work so I don't know how long exactly they will need to do the alterations, but I am hoping not more than 6 weeks!! Does anyone know how far in advance they usually start alterations?
