MY DRESS IS IN!!!!! Update - NOT happy and need advice!!! a little long :(

Im so excited!!!! Im going to see it after work today!!!


SOOOO I went to see my dress with my mom - she wanted to start looking for a dress for herself too. I tried it on and it was too SMALL!!!! About one size. Truth be told...I put on some lbs - I started a med and it made me gain weight within the past few months. I cant just stop it either, but i am going off of it adventually. Have I really tried to lose it, no. BUT from a lot of people I know that have taken those types of meds, they all gained weight...and they all had probs losing weight. So I dont want that to be an excuse. YES I am going to try and hope it succeeds.....BUT my mom being my usual mom wants me to get another dress!! She knows and has faith that I wont be the one to have trouble losing it...(i never had in the past when I needed to) but there is that chance. And she doesnt want me to stress on having to find one last min. And then told me I'll have two to chose fromI feel really bad though!!! What do I do?? Should I really make her get me another dress?? She will not let me pay for my own!! And what do I do with the one that I dont use?? Can I wear both if anything...??j/k LOL

Update...****
I spoke with the owner of the store and he is absolutely awesome!!! He told me not to worry and to go back in sept and retry it on. If I can't get the weight down, he said he will order another dress for me and keep the one that is in already and try to resell it !!! My mom wants me to get another one regardless (I personally think she likes the one we saw last night better :)) But thank goodness its all going to work out.....

I WOULD GET ANOTHER DRESS, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO STRESS ABOUT FITTING IN THE OTHER ONE. JUST SELL THE ONE YOUR NOT WEARING. SO SORRY---HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU!

Don't panic...i am sorry this is happening to you...i think its pretty awesome of your mom though to suggest that to you! In all honesty, I would probably order a second one to be safe if my mom was giving me the option. I am not doubting tha tyou can lose the weight you gained but I would hate to see you struggle and stress out over it...ya know? You can always sell the one you don't use on ebay!

i wouldnt buy another dress, bc then you just lost the money you spent on this dress...its not always that easy to sell a dress, soooo many girls on here had brand new dresses they were trying to sell for a long time. If you just want another dress though and dont mind waiting to get this one sold then i guess go for it

what they can do is order extra fabric and let the dress out a little bit just in case you dont lose the weight by then.

yea, my mom is awesome....she's cute too...she was like 'this is our secret and no one will know....just tell people you got the other one in and wasn't crazy about it and then you can also have two to chose from!!' I think I may just get another one to be safe and if anyone asks, I can just say I didn't feel right about my first one. I know it ***** to spend the money, but that isn't an issue with my parents...(we are paying for our wedding without their help with the exception of my dress and flowers...) trust me....my dress is also not $5k and I wouldn't pick another that is too expensive anyways....

dont say no more eating!!!!!!! I was gonna say the same as everyone else...you can always sell it on ebay. I think that's extrememly nice of your mom to offer to do that-does she want to adopt me??
