My E-Ring Broke

Two weeks ago and I haven't had time to get the the jewelers. We left for the Bahamas the day after I realized it was broken, and I have been so lazy getting it done. It needs to just be sottered (sp). Can anyone recommend a place in Nassau that will do it right in front of me and give it right back beacsue there is no way in h*ll that I will leave it there.

Good thinking not to leave the ring awith anybody. If they can not do it on the spot, they shold take the stone out and give it to you, than they put it back in when you pick up the ring. NEVER LEAVE YOUR DIAMOND!!

Try Philip Joseph's in Bellmore. It's in the King Kullen shopping center. They have worked on my jewelry before and always did the right thing.

What about the people you bought it from? They should guarentee their work and maintaining it's quality.

(litmann jewlers gave me a whole new ring!!)

Madaloni Jewelers. Ask for Bill or the owner Lou and tell him Constance and Bruce sent you. They will let you sit in the back with the jeweler!

Good Luck

I second Good Old Gold. That is where my e-ring came from. My sis-in laws sis works there and they work right on site!

Re: My E-Ring Broke

Having worked in a jewelry store all through college, I can tell you that if you go to a reputable place, you shouldn't worry about leaving your stone. They will map it for you b/f taking it in, so you can know it's yours when you get it back. And, a reputable place isn't going to risk their business for your ring-they have lots of them.

Also, no reputable place is going to to take the stone out and give it to you just to solder your ring. That would make your ring weaker, and would be more time consuming than the soldering...

Groovypeg~

My office blocked all LIW mail and teh webite so I couldn't use the link verify my account. I had origianlly registered back in 2002 as [email protected], so I still had that account. I'll be addicted in no time!

I am going to try teh places in Garden City and work my way out East. If anyone knows a place in Queens, that woudl be even better.

And Jenny2Penny~

He bought my ring from Ashford.com, a website. So I can't send it back to have it fixed.
