I just got off the phone with the jeweler. We dropped my ering off finally to get sized, and it turns out that in order to size it they would have to really mess up the setting. its a tension setting and by sizing it they would be opening it up so the stone wouldn't fit in anymore and they would have to add metal to it to make it fit. It makes me nervous! The lady also said that there is a possibility of the stone cracking I just don't know what to do! I love my setting and don't want to change it, I just want the thing to fit on my finger without a ring guard Any suggestions?

Re: my ering
A. Gain Weight B. Eat lots of salt - it makes your fingers swell.
I got nothing.

A: not an option because then my mother would kill me when I don't fit into my dress. B: not an option, high BP runs in the family and I eat enough as it is
thanks for the effort though

I was wondering if there was something like that!!! I'll have to see if maybe they can do that!
Weird question, but do you think it will look weird in those pictures where the ring is by itself with your shoes and stuff on the wedding day?

I was going to suggest the little balls as well (<----that sounded so funny )
and I don't think it would look weird in the pics.

u can not see it at all when its on my hand, depending on how u lay it down for a picture u cant notice it either, if all else fails im sure they can just photoshop it out of the ring pic :)
dont let them cut ur ring!!!

that's what i have and i hate it. i have a permanent callus from the ball rubbing against the inside of my finger. my jeweler told me last christmas that she wouldn't resize it bc she 'knew' my fingers would swell in the summer and i would want it bigger. i'm going back to have them removed and have the ring resized.
maybe others haven't had an issue with them, but i wouldn't recommend them

I really enjoyed when the lady said 'Well your other option is to just get a bigger stone'. Sure, and are you going to pay for that?!?!? Cuz my money tree hasn't sprouted yet this year

I have a tension set band and we knew in advance its next to impossible to size it without screwing it up. I have the metal ring guard on right now after the wedding we are going to have the little balls put in it to have it sized. you will definately see them in pitctures up close of the ring on the shoe but if its around the heel you wont.

your ring is so pretty! I love the tension setting, but I didn't realize what a pain in the arse it is. Ugh, I wish I would have known! I guess I'll just get some ballz

The balls are the best. I was skeptical at first, but it feels perfect on me and you cannot see them when it is on your hand.
The worst part was sitting there watching the guy burn the balls into the metal. It is a quick thing to do since I wouldn not leave it alone..LOL.
I would say depending on the picture with the shoe it can be covered by the heel, if not photoshop!

can u get a spacer (i think thats what its called). Its a piece of metal that you can put inside your ring to make it tighter.

Agreed! My sister had this done to her ering and she said you don't even notice them.

Re: my ering
i agree with the balls (LMAO!)
i have them in my ring, I also couldn't cut my ring
yes if the ring is in certain positions in photos you will see it, I thought about this too...but A- the photog can edit that or B just don't do shots where you can see it or C. Who cares! lol
if you do the balls, i suggest you sit with the jeweler the whole time I also wouldn't feel comfortable sending my ring out, I watched the jeweler the entireeeee time he put the metal in my band, I sat right next to him lol
