My favor idea, Is it Corny?

I was going to fill silver bowl with imported Italian candies and then have guests fill organza bag with their choice. Any suggetsions

definitely not corny. I think its a good idea, though the guests filling it themselves makes me wonder - why not just pre-fill the bags?

too bad I don't live closer - I love doing that kind of stuff. And having been recently laid off, I've got plenty of time.

Maybe I should start advertising my free time to the brides on here...

You know you could be on to something. ABout helping brides in need... Not a bad concept...

thanks, but I'm pretty happy about the lay off actually. I was working in product development for Charles Schwab and finance was never my thing. Besides they're paying me for the next 6 months anyway

I planned my wedding from CA, I could do someone else's...

Lets hope the guests don't get too greedy and take more than they should.

Are you going to have a note that discreetly specifies how much they should take?

No, the bags wont be so big. So I didnt think it would be a problem. The ribbon on the bag was going ot say ' A Sweet Thank You, and our names and date.

At this stage Im not sure, someone suggested I pre fill the bags. So now Im thinking. I dont call myself 'wacky' for nothing HaHa

I'm generally against anything that creates lines at weddings.

I have yet to go to a Wedding when there has been a line. People leave at different times. So I dont think it will be a problem, but you never know

How will they fill the bags, with their hands??? I have a thing about letting people touch food with their hands. Or are they wrapped??

No candies are wrapped and utensils provided like maybe a big silver ladle. I have some class. I am not very clear with details. I was going to mix Italian and German chocolates wrapped over course in a beautiful bowl with utensils and have them fill their own individual decorative bag with candies of their choice.

Very good idea..but do you think that your guests are going to stop and fill a bag or are they more likely to just leave? If they will take the time to do it then have them do it themselves but if not I would pre package the candies so there is no waste... JMO
