My FH is making me crazy...guitar again!

Ok,
I have been so good, I did not cave and give him the guitar I bought behind his back. But he is still calling the guy from the guitar store and yelling at him because he sold my FH's guitar! This poor guy is going to lose his job. I thought my FH would give it up already, he is impossible. He is going to ruin it for himself. I called him and told him that he should leave the guy alone because maybe I am working on getting the guitar for him already. He was pissed! He thinks that there is no way I can locate one of these guitars for him, because there are none left. I really wanted this to be a wedding gift, but he is upset about it all the time. He wont give up! Should I give in and just give it to him already? I am thinking about hitting him with it at this point! LOL, what should I do?

i read your last post about this ... and i didnt write because i didnt want to be a bad influence ... but i can NEVER hold out on a surprise, so my advice is to give it to him! think of how much FUN it will be ... (and you can get him something silly for a wedding present).

Thanks Miro, I have to admit I am really considering it! This man is making me nuts, and our wedding is in 7 months! There is NO WAY I can keep his mind off it for that long! LOL

The question is, how do I give it to him? I need to think of something really cool, if I cant hold out until the wedding!

hmm ... thats a good question ... plan something for the weekend? do you play at all? maybe you could do like a picnic in the park and whip it out and start playing? maybe put it in his current guitar's case and surprise him? i'll have to think more about this one!

My original plan was to give it to him at Flowerfield. Maybe I can still do that somehow. Maybe I can bring him there this weekend if they dont have a wedding going on...that might be cheesy though! I wish I played guitar, but I dont.

I'd have to agree - I'd have to give in and give it to him. Especially if its causing him so much aggrevation.

I say give it to him now, this way he can stop calling that poor guy! Also, when he sees what an awesome gift you got him, it will give him time to buy you an equally excellent wedding gift

Hide it under your bed, wear a necklace made of guitar picks and say 'play me baby!!' and then whip it out (the guitar that is!!) LOL!!

maybe you could make it have something to do with the wedding, like take him to have a meeting with the DJ and have it sitting there in the room when you go in - lame idea? Idon't know, just trying to make it wedding related!

I would give it to him too. It sounds like he is not going to give up on trying to get this guitar and that could make the 7 months drag on. I can't really think of a good way to give it to him but I liked the idea of putting it in his old guitar case....

Well Ladies, I caved! I gave him the guitar about two weeks ago. He was on such a mission to find this guitar, he was driving me so crazy. The man at the guitar store threatened to tell him, because he couldnt take anymore of my FH! I had to act fast because he was going to go back to the store. I did not want the saleman to ruin it for me. So I brought it to his house and switched with another guitar he keeps on a stand. He came home and didnt notice it for a while. It was driving me crazy. Finally he saw it. I think he was shocked. His initial reaction was ,' Oh you got me the guitar'...I wanted to kill him. Then he got really excited and gave me a better reaction. So, there it is. My surprise is over. He got his wedding gift 6 months early :( But I am really glad that I got the chance to make him happy. Thanks for inquiring ladies, you are the best!
