im jealous!!! hes in new orleans and he called me from the balcony of his hotel. they are right on bourbon street. And its like 60 degrees. thats what im jealous about. im freezing my nips off. anyway, i told him to have a great time and come home in one piece...
edited to say while the cats away the mouse will play.... with food that is. Ive been doing so well on Atkins and have lost the extra pounds I needed. But today was my bridal shower that my students threw me.. it was so cute.. and they brought a cake and goodies.. so i had to take a taste.. so I figured what the heck, since i started with the carbs today, let me get my favorite slice of pizza from Ginos... It was so good.....

hes never been to new orleans so he doesnt understand the concept of Bourbon Street and howmuch fun it is. When he called he was like a little kid. It was too cute. Ive been there so i know how much fun it is. im glad hes having fun.. hell be back on monday.. it gives me a chance to shop and get wedding stuff done.. like shop for honeymoon!!!

Fh can't wait to go. He's never been (neither have I) so he's very excited. Plus, he's going with 16 guys (friends and cousins)
Valentinegirl: No I'm not going away for mine I would love to, but my BMs are in no position to go and spent that amount of $$. So it's okay, I know we'll have a great time here. We might rent hotel rooms in the City though.

thats exactly what i am doing- my father's good friend is had of security at the roosevelt hotel on madison so he is givign me the governors suite for the night- he did the same for my sisters.. its huge!!! so theres about 13 girls... were going to the donkey show- heard its hysterical.. then were going to hit a club or a bar and drink and dance the night away.. Its no 4 DAY TRIP to NEW ORLEANS but ill take it!

my work shower i believe is next week. this was just the shower my kids threw me.. the parents decorated the room while we were at computer.. they had decorations, a huge cake, presents... the best gift was the booklet my kids made me... they each brought ina recipe and decorated it and put a border. there pic is next to each recipe with a cutout of a chef hat... and on the other side is a word of advice to Chris about me...
Ex. Dear Chris, make sure you always buy Miss DeLace flowers on her birthday.. it was so cute. I have to show you the book next time I see you!

i really do have great students. they have been planning this since oct! and they didnt say one word to me or slip.. Most kids like to give away secrets.. Not my class. I was truly shocked and had tears in my eyes.
