Thank you for taking the time to meet with me this evening to discuss my problems with my wedding dress alterations. I appreciate that you took time out of your day to meet with me, look over my pictures, and discuss my situation.
I believe that you came to the meeting with the preconceived notion that I had been a difficult customer. I dispute that point. I have been a consumer for many years and I have worked with the public for many years, and I have never been accused of being difficult, rude, or hard to work. In fact, I have been lauded for posessing qualities that would suggest the opposite. However, I cannot say the same things about your seamstress. She made the entire alteration process a burden and a nightmare, and I left every fitting in tears. While you may feel that you are not responsible for my dress falling apart, Bridal Reflections is the reason that every time I look at my dress, tears well up in my eyes. My alteration experience (and what ultimately happened with my dress) are stains on what otherwise was a perfect day, and I am sorry to say that I can not in good conscience ever recommend your store or services.
Should you care to discuss this matter any further, feel free to call me at XXX

'and I have never been accused of being difficult, rude, or hard to work.'
Do you mean ' Hard to work with' ?
I also think you should threaten to take them to small claims court. Honestly a letter at the end of the day will be tossed in the trash and thought nothing of- they obviously have no class or tact.
I think pursing a case against them will make them look twice and THINK about what kind of store they are running!!!

I second Maxine's suggestions, especially about small claims court. One more thing, send the letter certified mail, return recepit requested, so they cannot claim they didn't recieve it.

Or even file claims together. There is power in numbers.

I wouldn't keep the door open about contacting you. I would make it clear that they next contact you have will be in court since they couldn't satisfy you out of court. You may also want to indicate that you will be retaining counsel about the matter.

I think it's very well written! Did you ever think about writing a letter to the designer of the gown and letting them know that they should reconsider having Bridal Reflections sell their line of gowns since they obv. don't know anything about alterations? Oh- and Carbon Copy Bridal Reflections on the letter. I know- its evil... but its the attorney in me. Just a thought. Hang in there and good luck. You were still a beautiful bride :)

good point...Im sure that the designer would not be pleased that the shop was blaming the problems you had with the dress on them...instead of taking responsiblity for their seemstress....I would definalty contact the designer

Re: My final letter to Bridal Reflections
Good Luck and keep us posted! I had a bad experience as a BM. The dress was too tight on my chest and the seamstress told me maybe I could go on a diet. I left in tears.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO
what was the outcome.. .that they're NOT RESPONSIBLE????
and Don't worry, I think the Bad publicity from this site ALONE will make them loose LOTS of business.
Have you posted on the other boards this Link? (for the 06,07 brides?)

DITTO!! contact the designer.
and I TOO think in your letter you should tell them you are taking them to small claims court.
I heard from another person who went there and took them to small claims court, and WON... so I Would do it.. if it would give you peace of mind.
