Sooo I FINALLY started calling hotels this morning for the night before and the night of our wedding. I was thinking either Garden City Hotel or the Inn at Fox Hollow...
well guess what?
Both places are BOOKED SOLID the weekend of our wedding.
No joke I had a complete meltdown this morning. Thankfully I have off today so I had time to work on this.
Thanks to LIW I found the Andrew Hotel in Great Neck-and they had a suite available for both nights I need. They were so great on the phone, my mom and I stopped by there to check it out and it's exactly the type of place we were looking for. And to make things even better, my mom booked a room, and it will be right next door, so there will be my suite with an adjoing room (that's a double). I am so relieved.
Here's my advice girls: DO NOT WAIT TO BOOK YOUR HOTEL. I was so shocked that things were booked up already. Seriously get on it ASAP.
Yay thank you Andrew Hotel
It's not really close to our venue at all, but will work great anyway.
Phew!!! HTH

Re: My first Bridezilla moment
Theres that other hotel too right next to On Parade...is it the Exec Suites or something? Its motel ish...but its a hotel at least for just your guests who want somewhere to crash.
And http://www.holidayinn.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hotel/nycpv?&cm_mmc=mdpr-_-googlemaps-_-hi-_-nycpv&dp=true
Sorry, I grew up over there so I know theres LOTS of hotels in the area! Theres also the one on Round Swamp too (LIE Service Road, next to the Old Vanderbilt), the Four Points by Sheraton... http://www.starwoodhotels.com/fourpoints/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1476
I think so, for a suite anyway...the Andrew was the same rate as the Inn at Fox Hollow. I think the rates are on their website.

Re: My first Bridezilla moment
Thank god you found that!! Yey
I booked my hotel a year out from my wedding day because I was worried that it would get booked.. and I knew I wanted a suite. Everyone said I had plently of time. Two weeks after that I went to look online to possible upgrade the suite and everything was booked!!! Hotels on LI are crazy
