My first 'bump' in the road - THE PRIEST DOUBLE BOOKED!!!

I just thought this was too funny. I am sorry if this is long, but you might get a laugh out of it. My FH and I got engaged in oct. of 03, in november - BEFORE we went hall shopping - to see what dates were available. (we are not getting married in the church ) we got to look at his calender - NOTHING was booked for november - so, we went booked wcc, and then i called and told him nov 12. FINE. i thought. well, i was told that we have to do an interfaith pre cana- which i am not thrilled about anyway, so i tried calling the church like 3 times, over a few months, left messages, and never got a call back. finally i decided to call the priest who is the pastor there, and the one that was supposed to do our wedding and then he tells me there is a problem. he didnt put us in. OMG, so then he asks me if i can move my ceremony around!! im not kidding, i know you think that i am but i am not. i told him tthat there was NO WAY. because, we have signed contracts and have received my invites already!!! i cant re order them. so then he says... what time is your wedding. so i tell him 6;30 - to which he replies that the other wedding is at 5;30 - and that he has plenty of time. i was too stunned to say anything. anyway. i have decided to call another priest from that parish to see if he can be a back up! IS THAT CRAZY???
I just thought maybe some of you would think that its funny that this cr@p is happening with the church!!!

ahh yes the church sometimes I just want to scream just thinking what is still ahead of me, I had no clue how bureaucratic it is
anyways, I hope you can get another priest because that is not a lot of time in between the ceremonies

i heard through the grape vine that one of the 'church ladies' stated my wedding wasn't on the quarterly newsletter and therefore did not exist. i called my pastor and he said we were fine

isnt it just ridiculous? i had to laugh!

i cant complain though cause most everything else has gone so great THUS FAR!! hehehe

i should not say that!! AHHH
