I made the apple/building logo in illustrator and also layed out all of the type in illustrator.
Magnets: Printed the design out on heavy weight matte paper. I got 8x10 sheets of self adhesive magnet paper and attached the printouts I made to it, and cut them out with a paper cutter.
I got the blank white cards at michaels and changed the design for the front a little bit, put the little caption on the inside and cut 4 slits to hold the magnet in.
it was all pretty cheap in the end. about 50$ total for 100 magnets and cards.
