so this is the first weekend i am going to start looking for my dress! In a nutshell can you girls help me out with the BEST places to go... from the reviews, i am definately staying away from Adriennes!!

I got mine at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue...they have a ton of dresses-Marge helped me and she was fantastic

The only place I went was to Paradise Bridal in Patchogue and worked with Donna the manager....I picked out and ordered my dress there in 2.5 hours!

Kleinfelds all the way girl!! Even if you don't get your dress there you have to go for the experience. :) I went with my mom, Flower Girl, FMIL and FSIL and we had a blast then did martini's and apps at a restaurant near by.

I have been all over Long Island...here's just a few
1.) Fantasia, Rocky Pt...bought my dress...have had excellent experiences each time, they are all so nice & helpful..my mom got her dress there too & said how nice they were.
2.) Renates, Lindenhurst...good experience
3.) Burtons, Melville? good experiene
4.)Carmellas, Huntington...good experience
5.) Bridal Elegance, Dix Hills, great experience
6.) Paradise, Patchogue...good first experience w/ Marge, went back a second time and had a complete idiot help me, who was so ignorant she told me 'i don't really care for that dress' for one I liked and tried on...and then said 'oh that is a great dress for a second weding'...i said 'um i know i am not the youngest bride here, but it is my FIRST wedding'...wish i knew what her name was!! She also kept pulling dresses for me that were NOT what i was looking for & i had pics!! But the other lady that helped me the first time was fantastic!

Bridal Suite in Bayshore: GREAT experience for my sisters wedding...BM dresses & her dress was ordered from there
Adriennes: as you know...was by far the worst experience in my life.

I have to agree i went to look two weeks and had the best experience with Mary Ellen I ended up purchasing my gown from there.

I went to Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. I had a great experience, but I found that their prices were a lot higher than others.
I bought my dress at Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point. They've been extremely helpful every time that I've called/gone in.

Wedding Atelier in the city. Such a calm and inviting enviroment. They only have two brides looking for dresses at once so you feel like you own the shop

Macy's in Manhasset is only Demetrios, and I worked with Charmaine who was WONDERFUL.. the store manager Josephine is a b*tch though..

if you're going into NYC, go to RK bridal...
(best to avoid weekends, becuase its mega buzy then.... but the selection and prices are FAB)

I got my dress as well as the bridesmaids dresses at Adriennes and it was not a problem at all. They were really nice. I love my dress as well as the bridesmaid. You can not beat their prices

I had one in mind, it was at David's. I tried it on and hated it It was stark white. I found another one in the same line, and bought it. I kind of wish I looked more. But oh well. There is nooooooooo way I'm buying another one. David's is a pain, but cheap!

I ordered all the dresses from Paradise Bridal. I only had one problem with them but they have more then made up for it. One of the girls is a little flightly and almost ordered my bm dresses in the wrong color. But it was corrected without a problem and they were just wonderfull. They told me to ask as many questions as I need and call whenever I want to check up on the dresses.

I've been to a few places so far. The best experience I have had, by far was at Lidia's in Copiague. They were fantastic in there. Highly recommend them. I also went to:
Macy's Lake Grove: good experience with the actual sales lady but the manager is pushy and rude
Bridal Suite of Centereach: worked with Raquel and she was great.
